DIVINE DESIGN – SUN & MOON SHRINES ON TABLE MOUNTAIN

We are nearing a time where dramatic changes in climate and consciousness (and even total devastation) are predicted by the Mayan calendar. There are signs in certain spiritual places that point to such ancient wisdoms and Table Mountain is believed to be one of them.

One man who has a deep connection with Table Mountain believes he receives guidance leading him to exact locations on the mountains where he finds stones that hold secrets to what he calls ‘Pathways of the Sun’.

Dean Liprini says his inner spirit calls him to Table Mountain to find these sun and moon shrines. Some appear as stone giants with human-like faces and eye holes that align exactly with the direction of the sun during the summer and winter solstice, or spring and autumn equinox. Liprini’s ‘holy grail’ is an equilateral triangle of rock, with a rectangle cut out of its heart (by what means is unknown). It seems to have been manoeuvred into position to perfectly align with the setting sun on the winter solstice.  Its inverted triangular shape symbolically represents a heart into which something can be poured (as in a grail). But the shape of this rock also represents female fecundity, the holy trinity, and a symbol for the ‘all seeing eye of god’.  This rock is just one of around fifty marker stones identified by Liprini on Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsula that record the passage of the sun. He thinks they were tools for ancient people and a sacred acknowledgement of the cycles of nature driven by the sun and the moon.

On the lower slopes of the mountains, there are a network of sound chambers – bowl shaped caves – in which he says it is possible to hear the ‘songs of the earth’, if you are able to tune into such high frequencies. Liprini calls these cosmic overtones “the choir of angels,” and believes the sounds represent the audible memory of the rocks.

Table Mountain is made of sandstone and granite, both containing large amounts of quartz crystal, which respond effectively to electro-magnetic waves and are said to hold memory and have healing properties. Is it any wonder then, that these Table Mountain caves are so resonant with connectivity to the earth itself?

So what messages do these rocks hold for us? For Liprini it is an insight and reminder to honour and respect mother earth and the divine cycles of nature. As solar calendar systems, they may also be record keepers of the greater cycles of nature over millennia.

Liprini sometimes leads guided walks to reveal some of the sun and moon shrines and upon seeing them for yourself, you may agree that these were indeed created by an ancient civilisation and have a higher purpose. You may also see nothing more than some interesting shaped rocks.

You decide.
