CAPE TOWN FESTIVAL OF BEER

Micro-breweries like &UnionJack Black, Darling Brew and Napier Brewery have become incredibly popular with hip and happening Capetonians.  They will be amongst over 20 breweries serving 50 different beers in seven brewing styles at the Cape Town Festival of Beer, 25-27 November at Hamilton’s Rugby Club in Greenpoint.

It is a celebration of all things beer, bringing everyone together from the micro and home brewers to the mega brewers. It will have an atmosphere of entertainment, with world class bands, competitions, master classes, brewing demos, lucky draws, taste-offs and kiddies entertainment. There are food stalls, braaing competitions and lots of beer drinking Octoberfest-style along one long table, with attentive fräuleins making sure no-one goes thirsty.

In short, it’s about SA’s collective passion for beer and is expected to be the biggest beer event in the Southern Hemisphere. Gates open at 12H00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
