The festive season in the Cape is such a special time, particularly at Cape Grace. From Christmas carols sung by staff making up the ‘Cape Grace Choir’ to a jolly Father Christmas, delectable menus, mince pies and eggnog – you’ll really enjoy a Cape Grace Christmas!
As you step through the doors, our Christmas tree trimmed with nautical and hand-made decorations greets you and, if you look carefully, you’ll spot little festive touches dotted around the foyer and throughout the hotel.
We begin in the Library on 24 December with the choir leading all guests, young and old, in the singing of well-known and much loved Christmas carols. Everyone is encouraged to join in and we’ll ensure you stay refreshed with eggnog, sparkling wine and fruit mince pies. The Christmas festivities then move to Signal Restaurant where guests can enjoy a unique combination of Cape-contemporary dishes all perfectly presented by Executive Chef, Malika van Reenen and her team.
The following day, once the little ones have torn the wrapping off their exquisite gifts, Christmas lunch and dinner will be served in Signal Resataurant where the menu will offer the finest cuisine with a unique Cape twist.
For the New Year festivities, Signal Restaurant switches to black and silver and dons her ‘Little Black Dress’ to welcome in 2012. Enjoy a delicious five course menu, the finest Cape wines and music as the clock ticks over to herald the start of another year!
We also offer a more laid-back option below deck in Bascule Whisky, Wine and Cocktail Bar where guests can order tapas platters and ring in the New Year on the water’s edge.
