V&A Market

Walking towards the V&A Waterfront, a 5min stroll from Cape Grace, you will find the ever popular Market on the Wharf. With various stalls available for browsing – and tasting – it is the perfect breakfast, lunch or dinner spot.

Ever wondered what is en-route to this foodie gem?

FIRST: Walking past Cape Grace, with the working harbour on your right and the hotel on your left, keep an eye out for luxury yachts making their way towards the Bascule Bridge.

SECOND: As you cross the Bascule Bridge, you will find the Zeitz MOCAA Pavilion on your left. It showcases exhibitions and educational programmes throughout the year in three galleries and two new media galleries.

THIRD: Passing the boats in the dry dock on your left, it’s just a few short steps further before you arrive at the Market on the Wharf. This market is one of Cape Town’s tantalizing fresh foods and produce markets with various activities to keep the children busy (and happy) while you stock up.

Below are two of our favourite vendors:

STOKKIESDRAAI: stockists of the most incredible biltong and droëwors so do try this local delicacy.

ROYAL BAVARIAN BAKERY: filled with delicious sandwiches, pretzels, breads and the most phenomenal service – highly recommended indeed!

The market is open 7 days a week from 09h30 till 18h00.
