Welcome to The Gracevine

Keep your eyes on this Gracevine and you will be exposed to a whole host of stories, information and pearls of wisdom about Cape Town and Cape Grace, that you never knew you needed to know.

For example, in November you will find out why Cape Town is the perfect Feng Shui city and how Boeing 747 toilets got to the top of Table Mountain.  You’ll be given the tools to differentiate an Irish whisky from a Scotch and just what sweet ‘n spicy ingredients the Cape Grace Executive Chef advises you to have in your store cupboard this festive season.

We’ll select Cape Town’s Top 5 food markets and take a stroll in the Company’s Gardens to find the 350 year old saffron pear tree.  We will also get wedding tips for men from the General Manager and Operations Manager at Cape Grace, both of whom just got married.

So who’s going to impart all this knowledge?

Carrie Hampton is the resident Cape Grace writer and font of all things irrelevant to national importance but intriguing to know.  If you have something weighty or insignificant that you are burning to tell her, this is the platform to do it.

Look out for contributions from our General Manager, Nigel Pace; Whisky Sommelier, Candice Baker and our Executive Chef, Malika van Reenen
