Mother’s Day is a wonderful celebration honouring mothers around the world. And there’s no way we can ever really thank her for all she’s done – and continues to do – but here at Cape Grace, we’re certainly going to try.
The culinary team at Cape Grace, with Malika van Reenen at the helm, are putting together a delicious Mother’s Day Buffet Lunch from only R275 per person.
Choose from freshly shucked oysters, home-cured salmon and avocado mousse on potato rosti, prawn cocktail or an Asian squid salad. Then try our braised rabbit ballontine with dates and pistachios, duck liver parfait, smoked ostrich, roasted vegetable salad, spiced lentil and butternut salad or the wild mushroom and feta tart.
Hopefully you have paced yourself and still have room for main dishes of chickpea and chicken tagine, seafood paella or the confit lamb shoulder with caramelized garlic jus, all served with a selection of freshly baked breads, artisan cheese and homemade pickles and preserves.
And don’t forget to leave space for sweet treats and desserts; rose-scented white chocolate verrine, crème brulee, macaron gateau, Armagnac chocolate brownies, lime cheesecake and many more.

In addition we have created three special spa treatments at the Spa at Cape Grace that would seriously spoil your Mum. Look at the next blog post this Friday 11 May for a description of the divine Mother’s Day spa treatments or see the website.
