Cape Grace F&B Marketing & Research Executive, Mandy Rutherford, reminisces about days gone by.
Remember when you were little and there were no worries of MSG, ADD or obesity? When bread was wholesome and milk came from a cow… in only one flavour?
An all-time summer favourite has to be – what can only be referred to as – iced Granadilla Balls. I remember travelling in my grandfather’s ancient Hiace Combi to our holiday house on the West Coast with a customary stop at the General Trading Store in Darling to get one. They seemed so much larger then or maybe we just couldn’t get through it fast enough before the syrupy juices streamed down our chins. Ahh, good times!
Let’s have a little fun seeing which foods you miss most – if we’ve missed some, let us know by adding a comment.
