The next two months are going to whizz by, so here are our Top 10 November & December Christmas Markets; watch out for a personal review of Kamers coming up soon:
5-10 Nov: Kamers vol Geskenke. A creative feast of handmade products at Webersburg Estate, Stellenbosch. Open 9am-6pm and 8pm on Friday. Entry R50 or R80 for 2-day ticket.
6-10 Nov: Constantia Gift Fair. A lifestyle event is full of hand-picked products and gifts with a difference with plenty of food and wine. Entry R20.
9 Nov: Christmas Market at De Oude Drostdy,Tulbagh. Find home-baked treats, arts and crafts and music on the lawn and a jumping castle. Open 10am-3pm.
23 Nov: Potters Market, Rondebsoch Common. Pick up ceramic bargains at this bi-annual potters fair.
6-7 Dec: Stellenbosch Fresh Goods Christmas Candlelight Market at Oude Libertas. Get all your festive food at this market, but also some gifts and clothing. There’ll be Carol singing too.
13 Dec: Fab Ideas Christmas Gift Fair, Kommetjie. Fresh and funky products at this 4 day fair in the far south.
14 Dec: Kloovenburg Christmas Market, Riebeek Kasteel. Sample and buy seasonal produce in the Riebeek valley.
14-30 Dec: Cape Town Summer Market (formerly Adderley Street Night Market). This market will be spread through the Company’s Gardens from 12noon-9pm and will bring a festival feel to the city at night
15 & 22 Dec: Kirstenbosch Craft Market. This popular outdoor craft market has two dates in December to browse the numerous stalls.
17-22 Dec: Blaauwklippen Twilight Christmas Market, Stellenbosch. Food, crafts and plants at this atmospheric evening market open 5pm-10pm.
