FUNCTIONS
For a seamless and successful function, the Cape Grace functions team will assist with all your requirements, from the initial planning to the final touches of service - ensuring a tailor made and memorable event. From elegant cocktail parties to exclusive corporate whisky tastings, sumptuous dinners with accompanying fine wines and business meetings or lunches, the Cape Grace functions team will see to all your needs from start to finish.
BOARDROOM
Conveniently located on the ground floor, close to Reception, the Boardroom has double French doors opening to a terrace with views of Signal Hill, Table Mountain and the yacht marina. This facility is ideally suited to small, intimate gatherings and successfully serves as a meeting and/or private dining venue.
It is rectangular in shape with a fixed centre table and can accommodate up to 14 people; with full presentation equipment set up, seating is reduced to 12 people. The use of the Boardroom is complimentary for hotel residents. For guests not staying at Cape Grace, venue hire for half a day (4 hours or less) is ZAR 800 and ZAR 1,600 for a full day (up to 8 hours), with all standard equipment included.
MEETING ROOM
The Communication Centre on the Ground Floor contains a private Meeting Room that can accommodate small half day meetings of up to 6 people around a fixed, round centre table. The use of the Meeting Room is complimentary for Cape Grace residents. For guests not staying in the hotel, venue hire is R200 per hour. This rate includes the use of the LG Flatron plasma television screen, flip charts and markers.
BASCULE WHISKY, WINE & COCKTAIL BAR
A private, informal venue in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Bascule Whisky Bar and Wine Cellar contains the largest selection of whiskies in the Southern Hemisphere (over 400), as well as a selection of the finest of Cape wines.
The Lounge is situated on the side of the main bar and is closed off by a curtain. Up to 60 guests can be accommodated for a cocktail party; for a whisky tasting hosted by Bascule, up to 25 seated guests can be accommodated. Venue hire for up to 5 hours for 25 guests or less requires a minimum spend of ZAR 7,500. A function of more than 25 guests requires a minimum spend of ZAR 300 per person.
CONSERVATORY
The light-filled and airy Conservatory is situated in a glass-enclosed section, overlooking the pool terrace and surrounded by greenery. The venue accommodates up to 40 guests for a seated function and 60 for a cocktail party. Venue Hire is R1,500 per serving period
