Celebrating Easter at Cape Grace

Cinnamon, spice, all things nice. That is what our famous hot cross buns are made of. Freshly baked by our chefs each day, their heavenly scent wafts through the hotel, signaling one thing: it is Easter.

At Cape Grace, that means a time of feasting and fun, family and memory-making.

Our mystery guest has arrived

This year, we have asked the Easter Bunny to make a special appearance and have loads in store for our little guests. The fun begins with an Easter egg hunt and continues with Easter egg painting in the coziness of the library (adults get to enjoy the treats too!) white bunny footprints leave clues as to where the treats might be found and we have a special Polaroid camera on hand to capture all the special moments with the Easter Bunny himself.

If you are thinking of a special way to spend time together as a family, we would recommend our Family Escapes Package. With complimentary tickets to the Two Oceans Aquarium, in-room dining vouchers (perfect for a night in as a family) and gifts for kiddies, it is a wonderful way to unwind and reconnect, knowing that we have thought of all of the details.

Our Apartment Lounge

We are also putting on a special Easter Sunday Lunch. Visitors and guests are all invited to feast on a delectable spread of starters, before diving into the buttery Hake Curry, Slow-roasted lamb, truffle-creamed potato, and all of the trimmings. The sweet treats are seemingly endless and include delicate tarts, crumbly macarons, cheesecakes, sticky toffee pudding and of course, our hot cross buns dotted with chocolate chips.

Lastly, Cape Town is a hub of activity during Easter weekend. Hop on over to the V&A Waterfront and spot the giant Lindt bunnies, take a stroll through the new Battery Park where they are hosting more hunts, face painting, colouring in competitions and even zorb racing (colouring sheets are provided and can be collected free of charge at the V&A Waterfront Information kiosks and participating stores – Artjamming, SuperPark Playdate, Hamleys and Two Oceans Aquarium). If the weather plays along, catch an outdoor movie at the Galileo Open Air Cinema.

However you are enjoying the long weekend, we hope it is a time of rest, reconnection and relaxation. For those running the Two Oceans, we wish you the very best! Our spa is ready to welcome you, and any tired muscles in.
