5 Star Spoils for 5 Star Moms

“All that I am, or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.” —Abraham Lincoln

Mother’s Day is just around the corner. While you never need an excuse to spoil the maternal figures in your life, this occasion only comes around once a year, this on 12 May, so it is worth pulling out all the stops for this one – she deserves it.

Mother’s Day Lunch

Treat mom to an indulgent lunch at Signal Restaurant. There are some spectacular hot and cold seasonal dishes to be enjoyed against the backdrop of the marina, including our famed Hake Butter Curry and Slow Roasted Lamb. Vegetarians need not feel left out as we have also included our hearty Goat’s Cheese Risotto and an array of veggie-friendly starters. If mom has a sweet tooth, she will love the bounty of sweet endings. Tarts, mousses, cheesecakes, macarons, and sticky toffee pudding are just some of the delectable options.

Afternoon Tea

Mom has probably made you countless cups of tea, so why not return the favour by spoiling her to the tea of all teas. Our Afternoon Tea is a time-honoured tradition and takes place in our cozy library – where you are invited to laugh, reminisce and savour your time together in style. Spend the afternoon chatting between sips of perfectly brewed teas (in an array of loose-leaf options), and nibbling on our sweet and savoury scones (with lashings of lemon curd of course), salmon-filled sandwiches, mousses, meringues, and delicate pastries. Mark the occasion with a pop of bubbles for an extra touch of magic.

May Spa Packages

We know that moms are often run off their feet. A shared spa day is an ideal way to enjoy some quality time together and will make her revitalise from her hard-working hands to toes. Choose from three different luxurious package options, that include massages, manicures and scones; mud scrubs, a blowdry and Afternoon Tea, or a full pamper session inclusive of a massage, facial and Afternoon Tea.

Gift Ideas

You simply cannot go wrong with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and our in-house florist is on hand to create bunches to speak to her heart. Pre-book your custom-made bouquet of Proteas and Fynbos or fresh-cut blooms by 10 May. Flowers start at R300 and can be booked via functions (functions@capegrace.com).

Gift Cards

Treat mom to a favourite Cape Grace experience by purchasing her a Gift Card online. We have 6 gift card options, including half-day spa packages, massages, facials, our tasting menu (a must!) and Afternoon Tea.

To all of the moms, aunts, grandmothers, we honour you, and wish you the very best day. We hope that you feel loved, cherished, and special, however you decide to celebrate.
