Super Ways to Spoil a Super Dad

“Dads are most ordinary men turned by love into heroes, adventurers, story-tellers, and singers of song.” – Pam Brown.

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and we could think of no better way to spoil dad or any special father figure for that matter, than by treating him to some downtime at Cape Grace.

Spa Specials to leave him refined and refreshed

Whether he has an overly-enthusiastic golf swing, is keen on mountain biking, suffers from work stress or frequent travel, our one-of-a-kind spa experiences are sure to help him unwind and relax. Choose from three unique packages that involve warming massages, luxurious wet shave treatments and express facials – all crafted to make him feel like a new man. Treatments are done with our Gentlemen’s Tonic professional skincare range, especially designed to treat men. Two of the three treatments include gift sets, so dad can keep up the good work from home, DIY style.

Discover more about each package here and mail to book.

Dining out with Dad

Sugar-cured springbok, sesame crusted tuna, or a paired tasting menu that will transport him on a culinary adventure; dinner at Signal Restaurant is a sure-fire way to his heart. Share a bottle proudly South African red (ideal in winter) – and indulge in the likes of Cheddar Gnocchi, Seared Salmon, or our famous game steaks.

The Tasting Menu (also available in a Vegetarian option and optionally paired with wine) might involve Scallop Mousse, Confit Duck Cannelloni, Braised Short Rib, and a mouth-watering Passion Fruit Tart to end. Bookings can be made by emailing

Our Brand New Brunch

Whether he enjoys a good eggy dish, has an unrivalled sweet-tooth, or prefers oysters and a hearty main, we know that he will love what’s on offer at Cape Grace. So put away the ties, mugs, and socks, and book him a seat at our table of treats. Our new breakfast-come-lunch feast is the best way to stretch out the bonding time and is sure to keep the hero of the day in good spirits as well as the whole family happy too.

Brunch begins at 11:30, leaving plenty of time to enjoy some morning exercise together, or a lazy lie in as it were.

Distinct from our Breakfast offering, Brunch has a more savoury slant. Charcuterie, oysters, eggy frittatas, salads, and hearty mains are all delectable options.

Of course, there are the usual (but oh-so-delicious) options we are known for, chief amongst them being our house-made granola and selection of still-warm breads, ripe for spreading with a host of jams, pates, local cheeses, or our famous lemon curd if you wish. Warm and comforting desserts bring the day to a satisfying close, leaving dad (and the rest of the family) feeling loved and well-fed.

Book a seat at our very first brunch by emailing or call +27 (21) 410 7080.

Gifting made easy: Whisky tasting vouchers

However you celebrate your dad, grandad, or father-like mentors this Father’s Day, we wish it to be a day filled with affirming love and cherished moments.
