The Savoy Afternoon Tea Experience

Cape Grace is proud to host an exclusive collaboration with The Savoy London, bringing their renowned Afternoon Tea to Cape Town. From 7 August to September, guests can enjoy a taste of traditional British elegance at Heirloom, where a trio from The Savoy London will showcase their expertise.

Led by Sous Chef Liesl Booysen, Pastry Chef John Almeida, and Hospitality Professional Dylan Martin, the team will serve a curated selection of over 30 teas, gourmet sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream, and signature pastries inspired by the decadent flavours served at The Savoy.

Join us for our next Beau-Tea with Kim Black on 26 August: Brushes, Bubbles & British Tea!

From 12:00 to 14:30, create a charming art masterpiece in the shape of a cake under Kim’s expert guidance — inspired by our Savoy collaboration and the timeless elegance of a British Tea Party. Guests will paint delicate flowers and whimsical strawberry icing directly onto their cake-shaped artwork, bringing a playful and creative twist to the afternoon.

Then, from 14:30, enjoy the signature Cape Grace Afternoon Tea — a refined experience inspired by our collaboration with The Savoy. Expect freshly baked scones, gourmet treats, and a curated selection of fine teas, all served in an elegant, relaxed setting.

Beau-Tea: A Celebration of Creativity and Connection

As part of our Beau-Tea campaign, we look back at the inspiring events that brought people together through art, flowers, and fine tea. Guests first explored their creativity in an art workshop led by Kim Black, where they painted beautiful fynbos-inspired pieces. This was followed by a hands-on floral workshop with Adene Flowers and Anli Wahl, who guided attendees in creating elegant flower arrangements. The experience was perfectly rounded off with Cape Grace’s iconic afternoon tea – a moment of beauty, creativity, and connection.
