Afternoon Tea at Cape Grace

A Game of Grace

When: 10th – 13th July 2025

As the Cape winter season unfolds, the Cape Grace invites you to a unique celebration of sporting tradition and refined indulgence. The Heirloom restaurant will be transformed into a tennis-inspired haven, reflecting the iconic tournament’s palette of fresh greens, crisp whites, and subtle accents of yellow and pink. This creates an atmosphere of relaxed sophistication, perfectly suited for a memorable afternoon.

Guests are encouraged to embrace the sartorial spirit of the occasion, perhaps donning their finest summer whites or a touch of tennis-inspired elegance. It’s an opportunity to revel in the excitement of the tournament, immersed in an atmosphere of understated luxury.

A carefully curated selection of delectable treats will be served, each a tribute to the flavours of an English summer and the traditions of afternoon tea. From delicate finger sandwiches to freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and exquisitely crafted pastries, every element is designed to delight the palate.

This distinctive afternoon tea is more than just a culinary experience; it’s an immersion into the world of tennis, celebrated with the charm and elegance that defines the Cape Grace.

Beau-Tea: A Celebration of Creativity and Connection

As part of our Beau-Tea campaign, we look back at the inspiring events that brought people together through art, flowers, and fine tea. Guests first explored their creativity in an art workshop led by Kim Black, where they painted beautiful fynbos-inspired pieces. This was followed by a hands-on floral workshop with Adene Flowers and Anli Wahl, who guided attendees in creating elegant flower arrangements. The experience was perfectly rounded off with Cape Grace’s iconic afternoon tea – a moment of beauty, creativity, and connection.

Keep an eye out for our next beau-tea date in July!
